What Is Fomo Trading App?

Fomo Trading App is the fomo app from FOMO Labs, the one people also call Fomo Family after its website, fomo.family. It is a social crypto trading app: you follow traders, watch their buys land in a feed with the reason attached, and copy a trade in one tap from a wallet only you control. It is not an exchange like Binance and not a terminal like Axiom. This page explains where it fits between the two, what it costs, who it suits, and how to start with referral code GEMQUEENX.

  • Social feed of named traders
  • Your own wallet, no exchange account
  • Six chains from one balance

What is Fomo Trading App?

Fomo Trading App is the fomo app from FOMO Labs, also known as Fomo Family: a social crypto trading app where you follow traders, see their trades in a feed with the reason behind them, and copy a trade in one tap from your own self-custodial wallet, on Solana, Base, BNB Chain, Monad, Ethereum and Robinhood Chain.

Where it fits

Fomo among the exchanges, terminals and data sites

The map is the quickest way to place it. In the inner ring are the exchanges, Binance, Coinbase, OKX and Bybit: companies that hold your money in an account and let you trade the coins they chose to list. Further out are the Solana terminals, GMGN, BullX, Photon and Axiom, built for people who want to be first into a launch and are happy to manage a wallet, gas and a screen full of panels to do it. Around the edge sit the sites people check before they trade, CoinGecko, CoinMarketCap, DexScreener and Birdeye.

Fomo sits in the middle because it borrows one thing from each ring. From the exchanges it takes the easy start: an email login, Apple Pay, one balance. From the terminals it takes the tokens, every coin with a pool on six chains, the minute it lists. From the data sites it takes the job of telling you what is moving, except the signal is a person you can look up rather than a chart. What it leaves behind is custody, the order book and the sniper, and those three omissions explain most of what people like and dislike about it.

The problem Fomo was built to solve

What is Fomo Trading App: a social crypto app with a feed of named traders, your own wallet and six chains from one balance, also called Fomo Family

Every trade on a public blockchain is already visible. If a trader with a good year buys a memecoin at 9:14, anyone can see the transaction at 9:14 and a second. The catch is that nobody can tell who it was. A wallet is a string of forty characters, and the people who are good at this have every reason to keep theirs quiet. So the information is public and useless at the same time, and a small industry of wallet trackers and Telegram groups exists to guess which addresses matter.

Fomo solved it the direct way: it asked the traders to show up under their own names. Every account on the app is a profile with a trade history, a 30-day PnL and, if the trader bothers, a sentence on each position. When someone you follow buys, it lands in your feed with the price and the reason, and the Buy button sits underneath. The information that used to take a tracker, a group chat and a leap of faith now takes one screen.

It works better than it has any right to, and it has a cost the app does not hide. Copying by hand means you arrive seconds after the trader, and on a thin token those seconds are the difference between their entry and yours. A feed full of confident strangers is also a machine for confirmation bias. We think the trade is still worth it, because seeing who is buying and why beats guessing, but we size every copied position as if it can go to zero.

Underneath all of that is a fairly plain wallet with a simple price: 0.50% a trade, gas included on Solana, and 10% off with referral code GEMQUEENX. No subscription, no tiers, no token to hold. That simplicity is a deliberate contrast with the terminals, and it is the second reason people move over.

A trade, start to finish

What a trade on Fomo looks like

The clip is the part of the app that explains the rest. A trader opens a position and types a line about it, "fresh chain, strong attention", and the thesis is posted to their profile and to the feed of everyone who follows them. On your phone it arrives as a push with their name, the token and the size. You tap it, the token page opens with their entry marked on the chart, and the buy sheet is already up. Two more taps and you hold the same token from your own balance.

Nothing about that flow is automatic. There is no copy bot, no allocation percentage and no trade that fires while you sleep, which is the single biggest difference from the terminals. It is slower. It also means every position in your wallet is one you chose, after reading why somebody else chose it first.

A thesis on every trade
What else is inside

What else Fomo Trading App does

The feed is the product, but it sits on top of a full trading app. Each of these has its own page.

Six chains, one balance

Solana, Base, BNB Chain, Monad, Ethereum and Robinhood Chain from a single USD balance, without a bridge. Start with Fomo on Solana, where most of the volume is.

Copy trading by hand

Follow, get a push, tap to copy at your own size. How to pick traders worth following is on the Fomo copy trading page.

The Crypto tab

BTC, ETH, SOL and the other majors at 0.05%, a tenth of the memecoin fee. The full schedule is on Fomo app fees.

Perps

Leverage on crypto, US stocks, indices and commodities through Hyperliquid and trade.xyz, with stop losses on the chart. Not for US persons. See Fomo perps.

A wallet with no seed phrase

Self-custodial, key split with Privy, exportable to Phantom or MetaMask. The Fomo wallet page covers the export.

Fomo Web

The same account in a desktop browser at fomo.family, with TradingView charts and the feed. See Fomo Web.

Fit

Who Fomo Trading App is for, and who it is not for

It suits you if

You trade memecoins and want to know who else is in a token before you buy. You move $200 or more a trade, where the flat 0.50% beats a terminal's fee plus priority gas. You find Axiom's screen exhausting. You want Apple Pay in and no seed phrase to lose. You like reading a thesis more than reading a chart.

Look elsewhere if

You snipe launches, where two seconds of lag is the whole game. You want a copy bot that trades while you sleep. You need limit orders or a stop loss on spot. You mostly trade under $50, where the Solana fee floor bites. You want staking, yield or a long-term portfolio; that is an exchange's job, or a hardware wallet's.

Cost

What Fomo Trading App costs

The app is free and there is no subscription. The fee is charged per trade, and it depends on the chain and, on Solana, on the size of the trade. These are the rates from Fomo's own help centre.

TradeFeeWith referral codeNetwork fee
Solana, $190 and up0.50%0.45%Paid by Fomo
Solana, $47.50 to $190Flat $0.95Flat $0.95Paid by Fomo

Base, BNB, Monad, Ethereum, Robinhood Chain0.50%0.45%Extra, shown before you confirm
Majors in the Crypto tab0.05%Not statedDepends on chain

The small-trade bands are the part people miss. A $20 Solana buy costs 40 cents, which is 2%, so Fomo is a poor place for pocket-money flips. The Fomo app fees page compares the rates with Axiom, GMGN and Photon at several trade sizes, and the Fomo app referral code page shows what the 10% discount is worth over a year.

Names

Fomo, Fomo Family, Fomo Trading App: the names explained

The naming confuses people, so here it is in one place. The app is called fomo, lower case, and its App Store listing is "fomo - never miss out". The company is FOMO Labs, Inc. The official website is fomo.family, which is why so many people call the app Fomo Family. Fomo Trading App and Fomo crypto app are what people type into Google, and they mean the same product.

Two things carry the name and are something else. The @fomo account on Telegram belongs to an unrelated perps app, covered on the Fomo Telegram bot page. And Fomo Trading, this website at fomotrading.app, is an independent affiliate guide: we are not FOMO Labs, we earn a referral when you sign up with our code, and the official site is fomo.family.

FAQ

What is Fomo Trading App: questions

What is Fomo Trading App?

Fomo Trading App is the name people search for the fomo app from FOMO Labs: a social crypto trading app where you follow traders, see their buys and sells in a feed, and copy a trade in one tap from your own balance. It runs on iPhone, Android and the web at fomo.family, and trades tokens on Solana, Base, BNB Chain, Monad, Ethereum and Robinhood Chain.

Is Fomo Family the same as Fomo Trading App?

Yes. The app is called fomo, the company is FOMO Labs, the website is fomo.family, and people call it Fomo Family, the Fomo app or Fomo Trading App depending on where they heard about it. It is one product and one account. This site, Fomo Trading, is an independent guide to it and not the official site.

Is Fomo an exchange like Binance or Coinbase?

No. Binance, Coinbase, OKX and Bybit hold your money in an account they control. Fomo is a self-custodial wallet: your key is split between your phone and Fomo through Privy, and trades go straight through the chain's own pools. There is no order book, no KYC for trading, and nobody who can freeze your balance.

How is Fomo different from Axiom, GMGN or Photon?

Those are trading terminals: dense desktop screens built for speed, with snipers, bundlers and automatic copy bots. Fomo is built around people. The first screen is a feed of named traders with public records and a line about why they bought, and every copy is a manual tap. It has fewer controls and a simpler fee.

How much does Fomo Trading App cost?

The app is free. On Solana a trade of $190 or more costs 0.50% with gas, priority fees and token rent paid by Fomo; smaller trades pay a flat $0.95 between $47.50 and $190, 2% between $5 and $47.50, and $0.10 under $5. On the other chains it is 0.50% plus the network fee. Majors in the Crypto tab cost 0.05%. Referral code GEMQUEENX takes the 0.50% rate to 0.45%.

Who is Fomo Trading App for?

People who trade memecoins and want to see who else is buying, and why, before they do. It suits someone moving $200 or more a trade on Solana, and anyone who finds terminals overwhelming. It does not suit snipers, bot users, people who need a stop loss on spot, or anyone looking to hold a long-term portfolio with staking and yield.

Is Fomo Trading App safe?

FOMO Labs is a real company with $94 million in public funding, and the wallet is built so the company cannot move your money. The risks are the tokens themselves, copycat sites and Telegram accounts, and losing your email and Apple or Google login without an exported private key.
