Fomo Ethereum: mainnet memecoins without paying mainnet gas
Fomo Ethereum support puts mainnet in the same app as Solana and Base: you trade ETH memecoins like PEPE and SHIB, DeFi tokens and any ERC-20 with a Uniswap pool from one USD balance, the gas paid by Fomo, at a 0.5% fee that drops to 0.45% with referral code GEMQUEENX. This page covers what trades on Ethereum inside Fomo, how a buy works, what it costs next to doing it by hand on Uniswap, and where mainnet still bites.

Fomo Ethereum: key facts
- The chainEthereum mainnet, the original one: 12-second blocks, ETH for gas, the deepest memecoin pools in crypto and the oldest scams.
- In Fomo since2026, after Monad in November 2025 and before perps in June 2026. The launch clip is above.
- What tradesAny ERC-20 with a Uniswap pool: PEPE, SHIB, FLOKI, SPX6900, MOG, TURBO, the DeFi majors, the long tail. ETH itself in the Crypto tab.
- BalanceThe same USD balance as Solana, Base, BNB Chain, Monad and Robinhood Chain. Nothing to bridge.
- Fee0.5% per trade, about $0.95 minimum, gas included. 0.45% with referral code GEMQUEENX. ETH as an asset costs 0.05%.
- GasPaid by Fomo. Ethereum base fees sat in fractions of a gwei for most of 2026, so a swap by hand costs cents to a few dollars; Fomo absorbs it plus the approval.
- SpeedOne or two blocks to confirm, so 12 to 25 seconds. Solana in the same app is a second or two.
- AvailabilityEverywhere the app works, including the US. No stock-token or perps style restriction on Ethereum tokens.
What is Fomo Ethereum?
Fomo Ethereum is Ethereum mainnet support inside the Fomo app: you buy and sell any ERC-20 token, from PEPE to the DeFi majors, out of the same USD balance you use on Solana and Base, with the gas paid by Fomo and a 0.5% fee, so you never hold ETH for gas or bridge anything.
Why Ethereum on Fomo is a different deal from Solana
Fomo started as a Solana app, and for most of its first year the answer to "wen eth" was the two tweets in the launch clip above. Ethereum mainnet arrived in 2026 and changed what the app is for. Solana and Base are where new coins launch; Ethereum is where the ones that survived live. PEPE, SHIB, FLOKI, SPX6900, MOG and TURBO are all mainnet tokens with pools measured in tens of millions, and so are the DeFi names, UNI, LINK, AAVE, ENA, PENDLE, that a Solana-only app could never show you.
The tokens were fine. The plumbing was the problem. To buy PEPE by hand you need ETH in a wallet on the right network, an approval transaction, a swap with a gas limit you set correctly, and a bridge if your money started on another chain. Each step is a place to lose money or an afternoon. Fomo folds all of it into one tap and one fee, which is the whole reason this page exists.
What can you trade on Ethereum with Fomo?
Anything with a Uniswap pool, which on mainnet is almost everything that has ever mattered. Fomo routes through the DEX pools and shows the verified contract, the pool size and the expected price impact before you confirm. Four groups cover most of what people actually buy.
| Group | Examples | Fomo fee | Notes |
|---|---|---|---|
| Memecoins | PEPE, SHIB, FLOKI, SPX6900, MOG, TURBO, NEIRO | 0.5% | SHIB near $3.6B and PEPE near $1.7B in September 2026; deep pools, slow moves |
| DeFi and infrastructure | UNI, LINK, AAVE, ENA, PENDLE, LDO, ARB, OP | 0.5% | The tokens a Solana app cannot list; most sit only on mainnet |
| ETH itself | ETH | 0.05% | Crypto tab, blue-chip rate, held in the same self-custodial wallet |
| New launches | Whatever trended this week | 0.5% | Fewer than on Solana or Base; gas makes mainnet launches rarer and pricier |
The Ethereum leaderboard ranks the top tokens on the chain by gains, volume and holders, and the feed shows which of the traders you follow are buying them. Stablecoins and wrapped assets are there too, but the app is not the place to hold USDC on mainnet; the balance already does that job.
How to buy Ethereum memecoins on Fomo
Install Fomo and sign up 10% off
Get the app from the App Store or Google Play, or open fomo.family. Sign up with email, Apple or Google and type referral code
GEMQUEENXon the sign-up screen. The wallet it creates already works on Ethereum.Deposit once
Apple Pay, Google Pay, a card, or USDC from an exchange. One balance covers all six chains, so money that arrived on Solana buys PEPE on mainnet without a bridge.
Find the token Check the contract
Search the ticker or paste the contract address. Popular names have clones on every chain, so match the Ethereum badge and the verified contract on the token page, and glance at the pool size. A $50 million pool cannot rug you the way a $50,000 one can.
Buy in one tap 12 to 25 s
Pick an amount and confirm. Fomo pays the gas, handles the approval, and charges 0.5%. The trade lands in a block or two; the position shows in your portfolio and in the feed.
Sell from the position screen
Sell a percentage or all of it. Proceeds return to the USD balance. There is no stop loss on spot, so the exit is your job, and on a 12-second chain it is worth deciding before the candle you are waiting for.
What an Ethereum trade costs on Fomo, and by hand
Fomo charges 0.5% of the trade, or 0.45% with referral code GEMQUEENX, with a minimum of about $0.95, and pays the gas. That is the whole bill on Ethereum, the same as on Solana. Doing it yourself on Uniswap means an approval transaction, the swap itself, the pool fee, and ETH to pay for all three; the gauge shows what that adds up to as the base fee moves. Most of 2026 the base fee sat under a gwei, so the hand-rolled version is cheap on a quiet day and several dollars when a mint is running.
The dollars are not the point. The failure modes are: a swap that reverts because the gas limit was low, an approval that gets front-run, the bridge that takes twenty minutes. Fomo removes those, and on a $500 buy costs about $2.50 all in. On a $20 buy the $0.95 floor makes it almost 5%, which is the one case where a Base or Solana token is the better choice. Full schedule on the fees page.
Ethereum vs Base vs Solana inside Fomo
Same app, same fee, three very different chains. Fomo hides the plumbing, so the choice comes down to which tokens you want and how fast you need them to move.
| Ethereum | Base | Solana | |
|---|---|---|---|
| Fomo fee | 0.5%, gas paid | 0.5%, gas paid | 0.5%, gas paid |
| Block time | 12 s | 2 s | 0.4 s |
| Best for | Established memecoins, DeFi majors | Coinbase-adjacent launches, Clanker and Virtuals tokens | New launches, Pump.fun, the feed's fastest trades |
| Typical pool depth | Deep on the top 50, thin below | Medium | Anything from millions to nothing |
| Main scam | Sell taxes and blocked sells in the contract | Fake launches on trending names | Bundled launches and instant rugs |

Where Ethereum on Fomo still bites
Fomo removes the gas problem. It cannot remove the chain's habits, and mainnet has old ones.
Sell taxes and honeypots
An ERC-20 contract can charge 10% on every sell, or refuse sells from anyone but the deployer. Solana tokens mostly cannot do this. On Fomo it shows up as a price impact that is too high for the pool size, so read that number on the confirm screen and walk away when it does not add up.
Twelve seconds is a long time
Your buy lands one or two blocks after you tap. On a token that is moving, the fill can be several percent from the chart you looked at. Fomo shows the expected impact, but the chain, not the app, decides the final price.
Dead liquidity in old names
Mainnet is full of 2021 tokens with a market cap and no pool. The price looks alive; the exit is not there. Check the pool size before the market cap, every time.
The $0.95 floor hits harder
Fomo's minimum fee is the same on every chain, but the temptation to buy $10 of a mainnet coin "just to hold" is bigger. At $10 the fee is 9.5%. Buy $200 or do not bother.
Ethereum on iPhone, Android and Fomo Web
The chain is on wherever the account is. The iPhone and Android apps give you the feed, push alerts from the traders you follow and Apple Pay or Google Pay deposits. On Fomo Web at fomo.family the same tokens open on a TradingView chart with the top traders' entries marked, which for an old mainnet coin is the quickest way to see whether anyone is still trading it. Ethereum buys show in the copy trading feed like every other chain, and the Ethereum leaderboard is where the week's names are.
Fomo Ethereum questions
Does the Fomo app support Ethereum mainnet?
Yes. Ethereum mainnet joined the app in 2026, after Monad and before perps and Robinhood Chain, and it is the fifth of six networks. You buy any ERC-20 from the same USD balance you use on Solana, Fomo pays the gas, and the fee is 0.5%, or 0.45% with referral code GEMQUEENX.
Do I need ETH to trade on Ethereum with Fomo?
No. Fomo pays the gas on every Ethereum trade and folds it into the 0.5% fee. You never hold ETH for gas, never bridge, and never see a failed transaction because the gas limit was wrong. Buying ETH itself as an asset is a separate thing and sits in the Crypto tab at 0.05%.
What can I buy on Ethereum in the Fomo app?
Any token with a Uniswap pool: the big memecoins such as PEPE, SHIB, FLOKI, SPX6900, MOG and TURBO, DeFi tokens like UNI, LINK, AAVE and ENA, and the long tail of ERC-20s that only exists on mainnet. ETH itself is in the Crypto tab at the blue-chip rate.
How much does an Ethereum trade cost on Fomo?
0.5% of the trade with a minimum of about $0.95, gas included, or 0.45% with referral code GEMQUEENX. Gas on Ethereum runs in fractions of a gwei most of 2026, so a Uniswap swap by hand costs a few dollars at most; Fomo absorbs that, plus the approval transaction and the bridge you would otherwise need. On a $500 buy Fomo is about $2.50 all in.
Why is Ethereum slower than Solana in the app?
Blocks. Ethereum produces one every 12 seconds; Solana every 400 milliseconds. A Fomo buy on Ethereum confirms in one or two blocks, so 12 to 25 seconds, against a second or two on Solana. On a token that is moving, that gap is real, and the confirm screen shows the expected price impact before you commit.
Is Ethereum safer than Solana for memecoins?
The chain is more secure and the old memecoins have deeper pools, which is why PEPE and SHIB survive years of dumps. The scams are different, not absent: ERC-20s can carry hidden sell taxes or blocked sells in the contract, which Solana tokens mostly cannot. Fomo shows the verified contract and the price impact; a sell tax shows up as impact that looks too high for the pool size.
Which is cheaper on Fomo, Ethereum or Base?
Same fee. Fomo charges 0.5% on both and pays the gas on both, so the choice is about the token, not the cost. The same coin often exists on both chains under different contracts; the mainnet one usually has the deeper pool, the Base one the newer crowd.
