The listing has passed 500K+ installs at 4.7 stars, installs in under a minute and takes Google Pay. One thing it does not have is an APK file outside the store, and this page explains why you should be glad about that.

Yes. The Fomo app for Android is a free download on Google Play under the package name family.fomo.app, published by FOMO Labs, Inc. There is no official APK file outside the store. Phones without Google Play can run the web app at fomo.family.
The Android version of Fomo has had a strange reputation. It arrived after the iPhone app, it gets some features a few weeks late, and for a while the Play Store listing looked thin next to the App Store one. None of that is true anymore in any way that matters. The package family.fomo.app has passed 500,000 installs, sits at 4.7 stars, and has the feed, copy trading, the leaderboards, perps and all six chains. Google Pay stands in for Apple Pay and fingerprint or face unlock stands in for Face ID. That is the whole list of differences.
The search for a Fomo APK is the part that worries us. The app is a self-custodial wallet, which means half of your private key lives inside the app's storage on the phone. A modified build from an APK mirror can read that. There is no APK on fomo.family, none in the Google Play listing, and none from FOMO Labs anywhere. If Google Play is unavailable where you are, the answer is the web app in Chrome, not a file from a forum.
Installing the real one takes a minute. Open Google Play, search for fomo, check that the developer is FOMO Labs and the package is family.fomo.app, install, and sign up with an email, Google or Apple. Type referral code GEMQUEENX in the referral field on that screen; it is the only time the app will ask (support can add it later if you miss it), and it takes 10% off every trading fee for good.
If the app crashes on open or the Google login loops, it is almost always one of three things: an old Android WebView, a second Google account on the device confusing the picker, or a battery optimiser killing the app in the background. The troubleshooting section further down goes through each. None of them involve your funds, which stay in the wallet regardless of what the app is doing.
Six steps, about three minutes from Google Play to a funded account. Step two is the one that keeps clone apps off your phone, so do not skip it.
Tap Get it on Google Play above. It opens the listing for family.fomo.app directly. Searching the store for "fomo" works too, but the results also show a handful of unrelated apps with the same word in the name, and the button skips them.
Under the app name it must say FOMO Labs, Inc. If it says anything else, back out. Clone apps exist and a self-custodial wallet is the worst app category to get wrong.
The download is about 100 MB and opens straight to the sign-up screen. Allow notifications when asked. Alerts for the traders you follow are the point of the app.

No, and the reason is worth two paragraphs, because "fomo apk" is one of the most searched phrases about this app. Fomo is a self-custodial wallet. Half of your private key lives on the phone, inside the app's storage. A build that has been unpacked, modified and repacked by a third party can read that half, wait for your login to reconstruct the rest, and empty the wallet. Nothing about the trading features needs to change for that to happen, so the modified app looks and works exactly like the real one until the day it does not.
The Play Store build is signed by FOMO Labs and verified by Google on every update. That signature is the only thing standing between you and a repackaged copy. Sites that offer "Fomo APK latest version" downloads are, at best, mirroring the Play file with a delay, and you have no way to tell the good mirrors from the bad ones. There is no fomo.family APK either: the domain serves the web app in a browser and never hands out a file, so anything sold as a "fomo family apk" is a third-party repack of the Play build.
family.fomo.app is the Android package name, the identifier Google Play uses for the Fomo app, and it is why the phrase shows up in so many searches. Android names packages with the developer's domain written backwards, so the website fomo.family becomes family.fomo, and the app itself is the last part. Same company, same product, two spellings: fomo.family is the address you type into a browser, family.fomo.app is what the phone calls the app.
It is also the quickest way to check you have the real thing. Open the Google Play listing and look at the address bar: the real one ends in id=family.fomo.app, and the developer line under the name reads FOMO Labs, Inc. On the phone, Settings, then Apps, then fomo shows the same package name. A different package or a different developer means a clone, and clones of a wallet app exist to take the wallet.
APK sites index apps by package name, which is why "family.fomo.app apk" turns up download pages that FOMO Labs has nothing to do with. Those files are the Play build repackaged, at best out of date and at worst edited. The Google Play listing is the only source, and the download page covers the iPhone and web routes.
It is the same app with the same account and the same balance. The only differences are the ones Google and Apple impose, and none of them touch trading.

Google Play lists the Fomo app in most countries, including the UK, the US, the EU, Canada and Australia, and spot trading works the same in all of them. Fomo's own terms block twelve places outright: Iran, Yemen, Myanmar, North Korea, the Democratic Republic of Congo, Libya, Sudan, Cuba, Venezuela, and the Crimea, Donetsk and Luhansk regions, plus anywhere under US, UK or EU sanctions.
Two features have their own lists on top of that. Perps are closed to US persons wherever they are, and Robinhood stock tokens are unavailable in the US, Canada, the UK and Switzerland; the rest of the app is unaffected. So a UK user gets everything except the stock tokens, and a US user gets everything except perps and stock tokens.
If Google Play says the app is not available in your country and you are not on that list, the Play account country is usually set to somewhere else; it follows the payment profile, not the SIM. Changing it takes a day. The faster route is the web app at fomo.family in Chrome, which needs no store at all and uses the same account.
Your Play account country is in the restricted list, or set to the wrong place. Check Play settings, then fall back to the web app.
Usually a phone without Google Play Services or a very old Android build. The web app is the workaround.
Delete the file. You should not have it anyway. Install from Play.
The Coinbase on-ramp rejects some prepaid and business cards. Try a different card or deposit USDC from an exchange.
Check that notifications are allowed for Fomo and that battery optimisation is not killing it in the background. Xiaomi and Huawei phones are the usual culprits.
Codes expire quickly. Request a new one and check spam. Signing in with Google skips the email step entirely.
The Google Play listing averages 4.7 stars across 3.99K ratings. Sort it by "most helpful" and the loudest reviews are the angry ones, so here is a fair sample: three positive, two mixed, one negative, each quoted as written. Names are the reviewers' real display names; avatars are generated.
Great application for trading coins from any blockchain. Ease of use for everyone from newbies to experienced players. Nice not to have to bridge crypto to buy a trending coin. Watching top traders helps as well.

perps are great based on hyperliquid but it would be nice if I could hedge positions and have multiple close limits (aka take profit levels). when I try to open more than one my earlier ones seem to disappear, not sure if that's intentional or not

the only reason I'm giving it a 4 is because the websockets on mobile constantly drop and real time data is crucial for trading, and there no way to set take profit and stop loss

Worked completely fine until I got logged out randomly and now my account with all my money is stuck in here. Especially with all the fees and delayed buys and sells you're not gonna profit off of this.

The Android build is the full app. Spot tokens on Solana, Base, BNB Chain, Monad, Ethereum and Robinhood Chain, Robinhood stock tokens outside the US, and perps on crypto, stocks, indices and commodities outside the US, all from the balance you top up with Google Pay.
The one Android-specific detail is push. Alerts from the traders you follow and from your clan depend on Google Play Services, so a phone without it, or a build from outside Google Play, loses the part of the app that makes the feed work.
