Fomo fee schedule
Every charge the app can make, in one table. Numbers are what the app shows on the confirmation screen as of September 2026; the fee line before you confirm is always the final word.

| Blue-chip spot trade | 0.05% | 0.045% | BTC, ETH, SOL, BNB and the rest of the Crypto tab |

The $0.95 minimum fee, and who it hits
The headline rate is 0.5%. The floor is about $0.95 per trade. Whichever is larger is what you pay, and below roughly $190 the floor is larger. That single rule explains almost every "Fomo fees are high" post you will read: the people writing them are trading $10 and $20 at a time, where $0.95 is not 0.5% but 5% to 10%, and a buy plus a sell doubles it.
| Trade size | 0.5% would be | You pay | Effective rate | Round trip |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| $10 | $0.05 | $0.95 | 9.5% | $1.90 |
| $20 | $0.10 | $0.95 | 4.75% | $1.90 |
| $50 | $0.25 | $0.95 | 1.9% | $1.90 |
| $100 | $0.50 | $0.95 | 0.95% | $1.90 |
| $190 | $0.95 | $0.95 | 0.5% | $1.90 |
| $500 | $2.50 | $2.50 | 0.5% | $5.00 |
| $1,000 | $5.00 | $5.00 | 0.5% | $10.00 |
| $5,000 | $25.00 | $25.00 | 0.5% | $50.00 |
The practical rule: trade $200 or more per position and the fee is exactly what the app advertises. Trade $20 and you need the token to move 10% before you are even. The referral code lowers the percentage, not the floor, so it helps from about $190 upward and does nothing on a $10 buy.
Blue-chip fees: 0.05% on BTC, ETH and SOL
The Crypto tab, which lists the majors with a verified tick, carries a different rate: 0.05%, a tenth of the meme coin fee. Fomo's own line is "lowest fees on blue chips, anywhere", and against Coinbase's roughly 0.6% to 1.5% plus spread, or Binance's 0.1% base rate, it holds up. It makes Fomo an unusually cheap way to buy $1,000 of BTC or SOL with Apple Pay and hold it in a self-custodial wallet, which is not what the app is known for but is one of the better deals in it.
Perps fees
Perpetual futures run through Hyperliquid and Trade.xyz. Fomo takes 0.05% per side as its builder fee, and Hyperliquid charges its own taker or maker fee on top, which was around 0.045% taker at the base tier in 2026. So a $1,000 position costs about $0.95 to open and the same to close, before funding. Cheap in absolute terms; a few traders on X point out that Hyperliquid's own maker orders cost less, which is true if you place limit orders directly there. Perps are closed to US persons. More in Fomo perps.
Costs that are not fees
Slippage and price impact
A market buy on a thin token fills above the chart price and a market sell fills below it. On a fresh launch this can be several percent, which is why complaints of "paying 3% fees" appear when the fee was 0.5%. Fomo shows the expected price impact on the confirm screen and will block a sell it judges too damaging, which is its own complaint.
The on-ramp fee
Apple Pay and card deposits pay Coinbase's processing fee, typically a few percent on small amounts. Sending USDC or SOL from an exchange avoids it.
Spread on blue chips
The 0.05% fee is real, but the route still crosses a DEX pool. On BTC and ETH the spread is negligible; on smaller "majors" it is not.
Losing the trade
Not a fee, but the actual cost for most users. The review goes through the numbers.

That is where 0.5% overtakes the $0.95 floor. Five $40 buys cost $4.75 in fees; one $200 buy costs $1.00 for the same exposure.
Deposit crypto, not cards
USDC or SOL from an exchange arrives with no Fomo fee. Apple Pay is faster but pays the on-ramp's cut.
Buy majors in the Crypto tab
BTC, ETH and SOL cost 0.05% there. If part of your balance is going to sit in majors anyway, this is the cheapest place to hold it.
Read the fee line before you confirm
Fee and price impact are both on the buy screen. If the impact is bigger than the fee, the token is too thin for the size.

Fomo fees questions
How much are the Fomo app fees?
Spot trades on meme coins and other tokens cost 0.5% each, with a minimum of about $0.95. Blue-chip tokens such as BTC, ETH and SOL cost 0.05%. Perps cost 0.05% per side plus the Hyperliquid protocol fee. Gas is paid by Fomo on all six chains. Referral code GEMQUEENX takes 10% off the trading fee.
What is the minimum fee on Fomo?
About $0.95 per spot trade on Solana. It replaces the 0.5% rate whenever 0.5% would come to less than that, which happens on every trade under about $190. On a $20 buy the minimum works out to 4.75%; on a $500 buy it never applies.
Does Fomo charge gas fees?
No. Fomo pays the network gas on Solana, Base, BNB Chain, Monad, Ethereum and Robinhood Chain and rolls it into the 0.5%. You never hold SOL, ETH or BNB for fees and there is no priority-fee setting. That is the main reason Fomo comes out cheaper than terminals on trades above about $200.
Are there deposit or withdrawal fees on Fomo?
Crypto deposits are free apart from the network fee your sending wallet pays. Apple Pay, Google Pay and card deposits go through the Coinbase on-ramp, which shows its own processing fee on the confirmation screen before you pay. Withdrawals to another wallet settle on-chain; Fomo shows the network cost, which on Solana is a fraction of a cent.
Is Fomo cheaper than Axiom, GMGN or Photon?
On anything above about $200 a trade, yes. Fomo charges 0.5% with gas included, or 0.45% with a code. Axiom nets out at roughly 0.75% to 0.95% after cashback, GMGN 0.7% with a code and 1% without, Photon 1%, and all three add your own gas and priority fees. On trades under $50, the $0.95 minimum makes Fomo the more expensive option.
Why are people on X saying Fomo fees are high?
Two reasons, both real. Small traders hit the $0.95 minimum, which turns a $10 buy into a 9.5% fee. And market buys on thin tokens fill at a worse price than the chart shows; that slippage feels like a fee even though it is the pool, not Fomo. The percentage itself is the lowest in the category.
