Fomo Solana: the chain the app was built for
Fomo Solana is where the app started and where most of its volume still is: you trade memecoins like PENGU, BONK and WIF, and new Pump.fun launches the minute they list, from one USD balance with the gas paid and a 0.5% fee that drops to 0.45% with referral code GEMQUEENX. In August 2026 Fomo became the largest daily trading terminal on Solana by volume. This page covers what that means, what trades, how a buy works, what it costs next to Axiom and GMGN, and where Solana memecoins go wrong.

What is Fomo Solana?
Fomo Solana is the Solana side of the Fomo app, its original and busiest chain: you buy and sell Solana memecoins and new Pump.fun launches from one USD balance, with the gas and priority fees paid by Fomo and a 0.5% fee, on the terminal that became the largest on Solana by daily volume in August 2026.
How a phone app became the biggest Solana terminal
For most of 2025 the Solana memecoin trade ran through browser terminals: Axiom, Photon, GMGN, BullX, and Telegram bots like Trojan. Axiom peaked at about $101 million a day in April 2025 and still held 45% of terminal volume in June 2026, when Fomo had 17%. Then the feed did what feeds do. Fomo's volume grew 57% in six days that June, its protocol revenue passed $430,000 a day in the first week of August, and on August 6, 2026 it overtook Axiom as the largest daily trading terminal on Solana. By the end of the month Tekedia put it at 46% of Solana trading-platform spot volume, and DefiLlama had it out-earning Phantom and Jupiter on a weekly basis.
The reason is not a better swap. Every terminal routes through the same pools. It is that Fomo's users trade in public, and a buy that shows up in 600,000 feeds with a name and a PnL attached produces more buys than a buy that shows up nowhere. That is also the honest warning about this chain in this app: the same mechanism that makes the volume makes the losses, and the review goes through both.
What can you trade on Solana with Fomo?
Everything with a pool, from the day-one launch to the coins that have survived three cycles. CoinGecko's Solana memecoin category was worth about $3.8 billion in early September 2026 on roughly a billion dollars of daily volume, and the board in the hero shows the top of it. Below that sits the long tail, which is where the feed earns its keep.
| Group | Examples | Fomo fee | Notes |
|---|---|---|---|
| Established memecoins | TRUMP, PENGU, BONK, USELESS, WIF, FARTCOIN, MOODENG | 0.5% | Pools in the tens of millions; sells fill cleanly |
| New launches | Whatever Pump.fun and Bonk.fun listed in the last hour | 0.5% | Safety score on the token page; most go to zero |
| SOL itself | SOL | 0.05% | Crypto tab, blue-chip rate, held in the same wallet |
| Ecosystem tokens | JUP, JTO, PUMP, RAY, HYPE-style majors | 0.5% | Deep pools, slower moves |
The Solana leaderboard ranks the top tokens on the chain by gains, volume and holders. The launch list, which has its own page at Fomo sniper, shows new tokens as they list with a safety score next to each one. Both feed the same one-tap buy.
How to buy Solana memecoins on Fomo
Install Fomo and sign up 10% off
Get the app from the App Store or Google Play, or open fomo.family. Sign up with email, Apple or Google and type referral code
GEMQUEENXon the sign-up screen. A self-custodial Solana wallet is created with no seed phrase.Deposit with Apple Pay or USDC
Apple Pay, Google Pay or a card through the Coinbase on-ramp, or SOL and USDC from any exchange. Crypto deposits have no Fomo fee and are the cheapest way in.
Pick a token Pool size first
From the feed, the Solana leaderboard, the launch list or search. Read the safety score and the pool size before the chart. A $30 million pool and a $30,000 pool look identical on a candle and behave nothing alike on a sell.
Buy in one tap 1 to 2 s
Choose an amount or a preset and confirm. Fomo pays the gas and the priority fee and charges 0.5%. Above about $200 the fee is flat; below that the $0.95 minimum applies.
Sell from the position screen
Sell a percentage or all. The price impact line tells you what the pool can take; if it is bigger than the fee, sell in pieces. Proceeds return to the USD balance and can go to any chain.
Fomo fees on Solana vs Axiom, GMGN and Photon
Fomo charges 0.5% with the network fee and the priority fee included, or 0.45% with referral code GEMQUEENX, with a minimum of about $0.95. The terminals charge a higher percentage and leave gas to you, which on Solana is small per transaction but adds up to about $0.30 a trade with a priority fee that actually lands. The crossover is around $200: above it Fomo is cheapest, below $50 the minimum makes it dearest.
| Fomo | Axiom | GMGN | Photon | |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Fee | 0.5% (0.45% code) | 0.75% to 0.95% net | 0.7% code, 1% without | 1% |
| Gas and priority | Paid by Fomo | You pay | You pay | You pay |
| $20 buy | $0.95 | About $0.47 | About $0.44 | About $0.50 |
| $1,000 buy | $5.00 | About $8.80 | About $7.30 | About $10.30 |
| Where it runs | iPhone, Android, web | Web | Web, app, Telegram | Web |
Rival figures use each platform's published rate plus about $0.30 of gas and priority fee; Axiom is net of cashback. Everything else Fomo charges is on the fees page, and the full comparisons are in Fomo vs Axiom and Fomo vs GMGN.
Where Solana memecoins go wrong on Fomo
Fomo removes the gas, the wallet and the bridge. It cannot remove Solana's launch culture, which is the fastest and least forgiving in crypto.
Bundled launches and rugs
A launch where one wallet cluster holds most of the supply is a rug with a countdown. The safety score flags the obvious ones, but a green score is a liquidity and contract check, not a promise, and the app could say that louder.
Sells into a draining pool
The most common complaint about Fomo on every store is a sell that filled late or badly during a dump. That is the pool emptying in real time. Sell in pieces, and read the impact line before you tap.
Same name, different contract
Every trending ticker has clones within minutes. Match the contract shown on the token page, or buy from the feed row of a trader you trust rather than from search.
The speed is the trap
A second from tap to filled is the point of Solana and the danger of it. Nothing in the app slows you down except the confirm screen. Use it.
Solana on iPhone, Android and Fomo Web
The iPhone and Android apps are where Solana trading on Fomo lives: the feed, push alerts from the traders you follow, and Apple Pay or Google Pay deposits that land in about a minute. On Fomo Web at fomo.family the same tokens open on a TradingView chart with the top traders' entries marked, which is the better screen for a launch that is moving. Solana buys show in the copy trading feed like every other chain, and perps on SOL run from the same balance.

Fomo Solana questions
Is the Fomo app built on Solana?
Yes. Fomo launched on May 6, 2025 as a Solana-only app, and Solana is still where most of its volume happens. Base, BNB Chain, Monad, Ethereum and Robinhood Chain were added later and share the same USD balance, but the feed, the leaderboards and the launch sniper all grew up on Solana first.
Do I need SOL to trade on Fomo?
No. Fomo pays the Solana network fee and the priority fee on every trade and folds them into the 0.5% fee, so you never hold SOL for gas. Buying SOL itself as an asset is separate: it sits in the Crypto tab at the 0.05% blue-chip rate.
Can I buy Pump.fun launches on Fomo?
Yes, from the moment they list. New tokens from Pump.fun and Bonk.fun appear in the app with a safety score, and the same token page shows who among the traders you follow already bought. The risk is the same as anywhere: most launches go to zero, and Fomo's one-tap buy makes it easy to arrive before you have looked.
How big is Fomo on Solana?
On August 6, 2026 Fomo overtook Axiom as the largest daily trading terminal on Solana by volume, according to Solana Compass and DefiLlama. In June it had 17% of terminal volume to Axiom's 45%; by late August it was reported at 46% of Solana trading-platform spot volume, with protocol revenue above $430,000 a day in early August and more than 625,000 users.
How much does a Solana trade cost on Fomo?
0.5% of the trade, about $0.95 minimum, gas and priority fees included, or 0.45% with referral code GEMQUEENX. Axiom nets out around 0.75% to 0.95%, GMGN 0.7% to 1%, Photon 1%, and all of them add your own gas and priority fee on top. Above about $200 a trade Fomo is the cheapest of the group; under $50 the minimum makes it the most expensive.
Why do sells sometimes fill badly on Solana?
Liquidity. A memecoin pool that had $2 million at the top can have $200,000 ten minutes later, and a market sell into that moves the price. Fomo shows the expected price impact before you confirm and will hold a sell it judges too damaging, which frustrates people in a dump, but the pool is the problem, not the app.
Is Solana faster than the other chains in the app?
Yes. Solana produces a block about every 400 milliseconds, against 2 seconds on Base and 12 on Ethereum, so a Fomo buy on Solana confirms in a second or two. The Alpenglow upgrade planned for late 2026 aims to cut finality to well under a second again.
